An Intermediate Post!
Right, so I know the lsat post was back in May, but I've been waiting and waiting for things to be final before I write something. The thing is, I could be waiting a while. So I thought I'd write an intermediate post and atleast that way, keep things up to speed! So, Uni is finished and last Tuesday, module results were released for this year!!! *drum roll*... okay okay, I passed all my modules with decent marks. I couldn't be bothered to work out what my degree classification is, because it's too complicated and I'm just happy I don't have any retakes this year! So, as far as I know, (if none of the marks change as the 'official' results don't come out till the 28th I think) I have got a degree and no more exams! So, that was a good start to the week.
The second intermediate thing is my moving down south for my new job. Finding a house is a pain in the ass. I made a trip a couple Thursdays ago and must have seen about 15 properties. Then again a week later with my parents. It's basically a choice between a really nice split-level apartment which is newly refurbished and huge, and a semi with a garden and driveway for 2 cars. I think the choice will be made for me as the apartment offers to many complications which I don't need and don't have time for regarding the lease and freehold value, but we'll see what happens. I'd love to have that apartment, but if it's not meant to be, there's a reason behind it. The house is nice aswell, and both are fairly close to Aldershot town centre and about 5-7 mile drive to my work place. The flat is something that I wanted, but for all other reasons, I would have to agree that the house is more practical obviously. It's just a matter of preference, they both have good and bad points, just a matter of which points you care most about! Is the juice worth the squeeze?
I know this is a boring subject but the weather last few days has been incredible! This weekend was all about sunburn! On Saturday I was in London for a friends daughters 1st birthday. That was nice, and the food was well nice. Best lamb I've had in a long time. The drive down was uncomfortable, this is one weekend where I wish I had air conditioning in the car! Anyway, that was Saturday, then on Sunday, it was bbq time. Few of us went round to my cousins and just stayed there chilling and cooking all day long. We had so much food it was just silly, we ended up cooking it all as it would have gone off anyway, but we all ended up taking it home so we've got lunch for the next few days.
It was nice being back in Fleet when I was down there. I couldn't meet up with everyone but was excellent seeing Galder and Stel again. I left fairly late but had plenty of time to think about which places I liked and how much I'm going to enjoy getting out of Leicester. Don't get me wrong, I love this place, I just need a change. And when I do get homesick, it's only a 2 hour drive back up north! Going back to the properties, as I'm writing this, I've just had word that the apartment is no longer an option! The Lease and freehold complications are just not worth it, and with my time restrictions on getting something sorted before end of July, I can't afford to waste time. There you have it, breaking news! :)
Right, so everything you could say, is sweet. Nothing is complete, which I hate, but everything is moving, which I don't mind as much. Hopefully by the end of this month, I'll have some concrete stuff to write about.
Till then...
