It's started... Germany '06!
Yep, once every 4 years a spectacular event takes place and millions and millions of people from around the world, tune in, fly, and take holidays to witness the greatest, and the best take part in the best sport in the world. That sport is of course football... and the event? The World Cup. England (my team of course) have got of to a good start with a win in their first game. Its early days yet, but some of the games have been awesome to watch and the likes of Brazil, France and Spain haven't even played yet! It's only going to get better you know it is! :)
I went to Brussels at the beginning of the month for my cousins stag do. This is a picture of me in Brussels sat on some random statues leg!
Brussels in a well nice city to visit. Although not a lot to do if you don't enjoy going out in the evening, there are some amazing cathedrals and old buildings which kind of almost take your breath away.
On Saturday, we had a BBQ at a friends house for Englands opening World Cup game. That was probably one of the best Saturdays I have ever spent doing nothing. We ate so much, England won, and then we chilled and watched the other games in the back garden in the summer sun/evening. Left at 1.30am, feeling.... satisfied :) He went to a lot of effort and thankfully everything went to plan. Few people got a bit drunk later on in the night, and one of our American friends decided she was going to go sleep in the shadows in the back garden without telling anyone. After a small search party, I noticed her in the shadows and we got her inside.... it wouldn't be the same if something like that didn't happen though!
