The start of meaningful posts!!

Alot of people, including myself have been reading this site and although I love the fact that people are visiting, I can't help but think that they'd rather read stuff on a more general level. Not stuff about what I am doing on weekends. So, I've decided that from now on, each post I make will be based on something. Now, this "something" may have happened to me or a friend, or maybe its just something I feel like writing about. Politics to Sport to Life's Questions! It's all going to be here...eventually ;)

Okay so, first point of call... I guess, the one thing on my mind nowadays is the number of sicko's walking around. Everyday in the news I read something about some little girl, or lady, being abducted, raped, murdered by somebody. I suppose other than saying the obvious of how sick this crap is, the only other thing I can say is that I think if DNA evidence shows without a shadow of a doubt that who is suspected is found guilty, then some sort of punishment (alot worst that prison) should be introduced. Thailand have the right idea. Prison is not enough. I'm not saying being inside is easy. I know people who have been inside for a while and they would not want to go back, but the people I know haven't killed anyone. Somebody who is able to rape and murder somebody and do some absolutely sick shit like these sick fuckers need to be gotten rid off. Simple as that to be honest. I mean, if you could imagine knowing somebody who this has happened to, and then the person who done it got caught and got 15 years, in 7 years they are out of prison on probation... is that justice? Okay, so they may show remorce, does that make it alright? Not in my eyes. They may regret doing what they did, and yes, alot of the time I agree that these people do need help. Actually, for anybody to do something like this to anybody, especially people who kidnap and rape babies (babies for fuck sake!!!)... I don't know if there is anything out there that can help them.

It's a sad and pathetic world when you can walk past a newspaper stand, or switch on the TV and read or hear about somebody else being raped, or killed, or abducted and think... "oh another one, thats sad" and not actually give it a second thought. I mean, the War in Iraq and all the trouble in other countries are one thing, and I'm not saying they are right or even that they are not important, but this kind of thing is happening in your city, and what is being done about? Other than the Police capturing them and then the "normality" of going to court and being sentenced blah blah blah... I'm sorry, but you treat people who have stolen a car, or refused to pay their council tax like that.

Okay, so not being allowed a "fair trial" is a bit harsh I suppose, but all I am saying is that maybe there should be a different way. I don't know what that "different way" should be, all I know is that I hate the fact that this kind of thing is considered to be "one of those things" in today's society. Something which we all just put up with, and when it happens, it's in the news for the a few weeks, until the next thing comes up and its just forgotten about. What can be done then? Well, nothing really, harsher punishments will only cause more trouble with do-gooders who believe even the scum of this planet deserve to live, human rights would have a field day and the government have more pressing issues to deal with like Rover!, oh yeah, they also have to sort out a small country they invaded in search for WMD's and to iradicate a tirant who we help put in power.... hope they find something in them oil fields *tired look*.
